Long ago, before Portugal became Portugal, the Moorish king Ibn-Almundim ruled over Chelb in the Algarve. He returned victorious, bringing with him among his prisoners Gilda, a queen from the north.

Initially happy, Gilda gradually fell into melancholy, longing for the white innocence of the snow. No remedy could console her until a mysterious woman advised the king to plant almond trees throughout the valley. When the trees blossomed and enveloped the landscape in a white veil, Gilda's joy returned.

Since then, the Algarve has been the kingdom of flowering almond trees, keeper of this ancient legend.
Chemin d'Amande is a gentle wheat breeze, laced with the purity of a freshly picked almond. Its enveloping softness reveals soothing, comforting notes.
