Mooncake by d'Annam is a niche perfume that translates the festive sensuality of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival into a creamy, gourmand composition. At its centre, a multi-layered bouquet unfolds: vanilla lays down a warm, floral-sweet creaminess as a foundation that instantly recalls baked treats, while honey contributes a golden, slightly animalic sweetness that lends the composition depth and sensuality. Mung bean brings an earthy, creamy note reminiscent of traditional fillings, egg yolk adds a rich, almost caramel-like warmth that gives the fragrance its unmistakable mooncake character, salt sets a fine, tingling contrast that balances the sweetness, lotus seed contributes a powdery, mild creaminess, and syrup rounds everything off with a dark, honey-coloured glaze. d’Annam stands for a modern, serene interpretation of Asian fragrance culture. Founded in 2022 by Nick Hoang, the brand unites Vietnamese roots with contemporary perfumery.

The name reflects exactly that: ‘An’ stands for serenity, ‘Nam’ for Vietnam. The fragrances tell of everyday moments, landscapes and traditions – not loud or showy, but subtle, atmospheric and multi-layered.

Rather than relying on clichés, d’Annam focuses on authenticity and detail. In collaboration with creatives from each region, it develops compositions that capture culture respectfully and translate it into scent.
