A decant is an original fragrance that we transfer from a regular bottle into a smaller trial size. This lets you test a fragrance in the comfort of your home without having to buy a full-size bottle straight away.
Yes. Our decants contain original perfumes, which we carefully transfer from the respective brand’s bottles into smaller trial sizes.
Our decants are freshly filled from an original bottle only once your order has been received. This ensures you receive your fragrance in the best possible quality.
Our decants are usually 3 ml. That’s enough for several applications, so you can test the fragrance over several days.
Depending on how much you apply, a 3 ml decant usually lasts for 50 to 60 sprays. This lets you wear the fragrance several times and experience its development over several hours.
With niche perfumes in particular, it’s worth wearing a fragrance for several days. A perfume develops differently on the skin than on a blotter – which is why decants help you find the right fragrance.
Yes. You can choose various perfume decants from different brands and put together your own little fragrance set.
Decants are ideal for getting to know new fragrances or for giving someone a small selection of special perfumes.
As our decants are individually filled products, they are excluded from exchange and return. If you’re unsure which fragrance suits you, we’re happy to advise you before you buy.

Yes. You can also test many of our fragrances in person at our perfumery in Mannheim and receive personal advice.
The owner was wonderfully warm and really took her time with me, even though I turned up at the last minute. Honestly, the advice was some of the best I’ve ever had – I immediately felt welcome and in good hands. What I especially loved: there was zero sales pressure. I could take my time smelling, just go with the flow, and even left with a few small samples of my favourites.

I’m usually a regular at the other well-known perfumery in Mannheim, but today I tried Essence Garden for the first time, looking for a new coconut fragrance. The advice I received was excellent: the lady was very knowledgeable and friendly and left a wonderful impression. A truly fantastic shop – 10 out of 10!
